Tact, is the other end of the yoke still pinned? I looks like it still has the holes from looking at the photos. Can you tell if the drive shaft still has play on that side.
Seems to me like the bushing and plastic spacer would be of better use installed on the front drive shaft end of the yoke and not the tranny output shaft side that is clamped.
This way the splined bushing is installed on the front drive shaft until it stops where the splines begin to flare out. Then the plastic/silicone spacer is installed between the bushing and the non clamped side of the yoke. The yoke is then pushed up against the plastic/silicone spacer, which is backed by the splined bushing and the clamp side tightened.
This preloads the non-clamped side of the yoke (much the same way I fixed mine) and the clamped side is... well, clamped.
This is going to be interesting to see what finally comes out of this.
