Want to thank everyone for the replies. Ordered from EA, now the long wait :)

Seems like a solid product, backed by a great company with a good reputation. They are backed up for a reason im sure. Grapple will be next

Thanks bros. Saving my pennies for that hydraulic woods

I don't ever remember an ill word with EA. I suspect it will be ready quicker than you think and you will never look back.

Speaking of weights, anyone have suggestions for adding weight to a BB? I have the EA 78" at 545# and I would like to add 2-300 # to it, preferably a method that won't take paint off or get it the way of scarifier adjustments.

I added an 8x8 steel tube, filled it with steel, lead and concrete and added it to the back of my BB. 410 lbs. I also incorporated some 5/8" bolts so it bolt my 110 lb Ratchet Rake to it as well for a total of 520 lbs. I also added about 6' of 130 lb rail (260 lbs total) but they turned out to be dirt catchers, so I took them off.

Yeah they don't exactly give them away , do they:laughing:

Like Fallon I bought a well worn and modified gannon sans hydraulics but it has worked well for basic box blade work- and it is a tank.
I knew they had to be beefy when I saw them being used on Case 570's - the box blade compatible brother of the 580's

Congrats on the New E/A Boxblade .

They don't sell anything that is under built, I am sure it will serve you well.

I have the EA 78” hinged back box blade and I think it’s a little over 800 pd. It works good and there’s only been a couple times I wish it were heavier. I’ve had it two or three years now and it’s built very stout in my opinion. Hyd rippers would be my only upgrade but budget wouldn’t allow it.
