I received the gauge. I should be able to complete the testing tomorrow after work, or Saturday.

cdcole,
Who did you speak with at the dealer in West Bend? That's the dealer that I purchased mine from and when I asked why mine couldn't lift the front they told me that it is not supposed to. They adjusted it 150 lbs higher just to humor me.

Well, I am truly in awe! Like I said mine will lift just idling practically. It lifts so easy that I idle it down because it will throw you off the seat. I can go to end of stroke and lift front way up off the groung at least a foot. My pressure reading was 2100 and I believe that was the main valve releasing and not the loader. I think the loader is set just above the main relief. Those of you adjusting it 100-150 over the 1800 setting are still less the 2000 and I think stumpman said he was 2000 but it may need going to 2100 or main relief pressure to work properly. Also the supersteer has got to be heavier and make a harder to lift. Mine is not supersteer. I dont believe the dealers saying it is not suppose to. I personally have never driven a tractor that wouldnt do it and Ive been on a few and I wouldnt be satisfied if it didnt. How do you guys backdrag. I always put downpressure to lift front off the ground and backdrag that way to make nice smooth pass in the dirt. I also wanted to note that I dont think putting it in neutral or having the RPM at a certain level has anything to do with it. It should lift In gear or out of gear and any resonable High idle or Rpm it should lift. I am glad my dealer cranked mine up before he sold it because I wouldnt have been satisfied but i guess I should be pleased that mine does it so easily.

It finally stopped raining long enough for me to use the gauge. My front end relief was set at about 1675. I bumped it up to 1850. Actually when you move the lever it runs up to almost 1900 very briefly before it settles back to 1850. I’m thinking this may not happen with the loader circuit hooked up – I may test that theory using the “T” in the gauge.

When I did the front wheel lift test they came right off the ground no problem. Then I realized I had my backhoe on the 3 point hitch! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif I dropped off the hoe and tried again. No dice. So add me to the list of folks that can’t lift the front. (BTW - I don't have SuperSteer.) Maybe I need to check the main relief.

Mike - I back-drag by curling the bucket.

I've been keeping an eye on this thread to see who wants the gauge next. I guess if I don't hear from anyone soon I'll send it home to Spencer.

I received the guage late this afternoon and will hopefully check my pressure Tues. or Wed. Bill C.

Bill, do you still have the gauge or did you send it on to someone else?

Please put me on the list. I'll wait to find out for sure who currently has the guage, then I'll send them a PM with my address. Thanks Spence!

Have any of you been flushing out the gauge/hose assembly before you use it with fresh hydraulic fluid?

Spence
