Spencer, I never got to use your gauge, but I wanted to thank all of you just for the information. I adjusted my 7308 several months ago thanks to your pictures and info. I now have a completely different loader. My loader must have been set way belos spec., because It didn't even want to lift an entire load of dirt. I laughed when eveyone was lifting the front wheels off the ground because mine wouldn't begin to budge my TC 30. I moved the adjustment 1/2 turn and I can now easily lift the front of my tractor off the ground.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the information and though I didn't send any money, I am grateful to those that made things right.

Spencer,
I just sent you a PM but figured I would try this as well. Can you tell me what brand, model, and size your quick disconnects were on your pressure test rig? My local hydraulic shop couldn't tell from your picture and they obviously need to match right up to the NH couplers.

Thanks.

It's an old thread, but I just built a pressure gauge and found my relief set at maybe 1600 psi on the 7308 FEL on my TC30. Adjusted it up to 1900, works way better. Now I need to figure out the rest of the hydraulic system so I can add hydraulics to the rear, top and tilt and all that.

After reading most of this thread it seems like several people wondered why they'd need to be able to lift the front end of the tractor off the ground. Well, you don't. BUT, not being able to do so is a good indication of the relief valve possibly being set too low.

How else do you change the front tires? :D

Is there any way to resurrect the original thread? I'd like to know how to build a guage and do the adjustments.

I do have Spencers phone number and maybe he has the pictures yet that he could come back here some day and post them or he could email them to me for me to post. I will give him a call in the next day or so.

Wow, this is a thread from the past. Now we just need to find Jinman's No joy joystick thread. Probably 2 of the best NH threads we've ever had.
