Maybe Muhammad could step in and send him a friendly reminder to the e-mail address he has for bluetoy.

Zexel -

This is probably a dumb question, but did you check you old PMs?

Listers,
The two emails I got from Blue29toy are below. I sent him my address twice, but never did get the gauge or hear anything after the second email. I think this sucks.

1st Email after I inquired about where the gauge was:

From: John Chichinsky <transdep1@yahoo.com>
Date: 2004/06/18 Fri PM 11:14:05 EDT
To: pwiethe@charter.net
Subject: ref 7308 loader
hey got your email. will have it shipped out Monday to
you. Sorry for the delay-work has been wide open.
John

2nd email received after another inquiry:

From: John Chichinsky <transdep1@yahoo.com>
Date: 2004/07/30 Fri PM 04:04:49 EDT
To: pwiethe@charter.net
Subject: Sorry about time delay -7308 loader
Please send me your address again, I am out of the
country but a buddy of mine is going by my house to
check on things. Will get him to send it to you.

Thanks for the post pwiethe!

Is Spencer following this? If so, would you prefer to contact John yourself? I'm glad to do it, but I think you have a better chance of getting the gauge back if you ask directly.

BTW - Blue29Toy is from Georgia according to his profile. If you go to the white pages on anywho.com there is only one Chichinsky in Georgia. His name, address, and phone number are listed.

For all we know Blue29toy could be in Iraq for the national guard!
Put me down for a donation to spencer.

Ditto. I just came across this thread recently and thought I would tweak the 7308 FEL pressure output on my TC29D but without the use of a gauge. I loosened the nut and turned the allen screw in a little. After seemingly improving the ability to lift the front end of the tractor with the FEL and appearing not to cause any reliefs to lift I left well enough alone or so I thought. Yesterday I found the top of the nut with the allen screw (top half) laying on the floor of the garage. My nut/screw assembly now looks just like your picture of the sheared off nut and allen head screw. I hope my FEL hydro settings are OK. Have you noticed any problems due to the shearing of the nut/screw assembly? I wonder if vibration could cause the settings to change over time with the nut sheared off? /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

JD,
Thats a shame. It must be a "shear" screw so we dont mess with it! I havent noticed any changes in the loader operation. I placed a glob of JB weld on the top to prevent what was left of the allen head from rotating. Seems to be working but then I havent pulled the cowling off to check it.

After an email and a follow-up phone call I got this message...

Start...
I recived a message from kin folk stating that you had
call 2-1-05. So I checked this email account and
noticed your message.
Sir, I am sorry that you had to send an e-mail. I
forwarded the gauge to someone that sent me an email
stating he was next. I went back into this email
account (it's free) and looked for the person name and
address. But due to the fact that I do not check this
account much (it was highjacked and used to send
e-mail, spam and ****). Yahoo deletes oldest message
first, all I can recall was it was out west, and I
sent it through the us post office regular mail.
This person sent me his address twice, I sent it after
the second time. Never did figure out how to use the
device. Oh well.
Now own a caterpillar If I can help just send email
John

Any ideas on how to reply?

I think we all reply by sending spence some $ for a replacement. Surely there are enough of us on this loop that benefited from not only the gauge itself but the knowledge, that we can all cough up $5.

Spence, would you mind sending me a PM of where to send it?

I certainly agree that Spencer deserves to be compensated for the set-up he generously made available to all of us.

I certaily hope the non-return of this gage rig did not sour him to this forum. He was a welcome contributor for quite a while and was always involved in interesting projects. Count me in for any fund you set up for him.
