Murph, what are your thoughts now? Have you talked to your dealer about it? Are your tires filled with ballast?

Spence,

I have not talked to the dealer yet. I will probably give him a call in the next few days or so. My one year free financing is coming up soon and have to pay the tractor off. I guess I could hold payment up but I think that is a little too late for that now. Kind of why did I wait for the last minute before saying anything to anyone. There is another dealer close by and I should just give him a call and ask him if he thinks I should be able to lift the tractor. If he says yes then maybe I will just run the tractor over to him. Even if I have to pay him I guess it would be alright.

One questions I would have is if you remember I was the one with all the moisture in the tank when they delivered the tractor. I have felt that the tractor is short of the Horsepower it is suppose to have. Now I have nothing to compare it with but it just seems that way especially after having my TC21D. Could horsepower affect the hydraulics that much to make a difference. I guess because I am only running a hydraulic pump I would assume that HP would not effect it much??

Well got mine tested last night. It was set at 1750 psi. I bumped it to 1850 psi...just because I could! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif.

My tractor will pick the front wheels off of the ground even at 1600 RPM without the curl! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif But it only will lift it a few inches before it runs out of stroke. If you curl the bucket down it will lift it way in the air and fast! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

If you try this make sure you have overhead clearance...I tried this sitting in the garage...8 ft ceiling...stopped before any damage was done! /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif.

I will ship the gauge out tomorrow to cdcole.

Spencer, Thanks again for your kindness!

Mike PA,

Just received the pressure gauge today. Will post my results in the next couple of days. In the mean time could you please send me your address so I can keep the gauge moving?

Thanks,

Cliff

Mike in PA.,

Will send out guage Monday, July 28th, 2003.

It worked great. My pressure was set at 1600 PSI. No wonder I could not lift the axles of that old Dodge truck. Now I can /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif, however, still can't raise the front wheels without curling the bucket. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif I set the pressure to 1750-1800 PSI and buttoned everything up.

By the way - the black painted lock nut ended up being rotated approx 1/4 turn. It is painted at the factory (on one side across the nut down to the valve housing) probably for legal reasons. In other words my valve has been "tampered" with. Maybe there is another reason - I don't know. We do this with electronic pots to lock them and to show if they have been tampered with.

I wonder if the main relief is set to low. In any case I am not going to do anything more with it as I am completely happy with the performance. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Was hoping to be able to lift the tires without the curl - but hey - at least I can lift the axles to my 52 PowerWagon.

Spencer, Nice name - Got a five year old we named Spencer. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gifPlease add me to the list of pressure tester testers. I'd like to check my 1920 loader. I suspect that since I'm on the bottom of the list, I may be able to test this sometime in the fall! Thanks for being a great TBN'er.

Todd, I just scanned through the posts and I don't see anybody but you after MikePA. Unless I missed somebody the wait shouldn't be too long. I believe the gauge is on the way to MikePA now.

I appreciate the name a lot more now than I did in elementary school. Having any uncommon name assures you a certain amount of teasing. Now that I am an adult it is very nice. I rarely have to use my last name, I'm just known as Spencer. It is gettting to be much more common now, some people are even using it as a girls name.

Spencer,
I would also like the use of the gauge. I don't know where or if I am on the list, it seems that my logon and profile were lost in the great server crash earlier this month.

Thanks
