Is your brakes off? Is your other wheel off of the ground? Sometimes one side is heavier and it stays on the ground and the other one goes up.

Jerry,
Brakes are off, in neutral, level ground, not in the float position, with the bucket flat. It is lifting ever so slightly but not enough to spin either wheeel by hand. I was thinking about my previous reply and I remember trying to lift the front with the bucket tipped but was not able to. This would rule out the physical bottoming out of the rod.

Hey Stumpman what tractor do you have and what kind of tires and what attachments. I cant imagine with bucket tipped that the front end dont easily come off the ground. Mine does with no effort hardly tacking anything. It can only lift ever so slightly anyway because there just isnt that much cylinder room and it also depends on if there is cutting edge or teeth that adds a little lift but with bucket tipped forward pointed down and you push the handle forward the front should definatley come off the ground in my opinion and if it dont i would boost the pressure first choice and if that dont work seek professional NH advice.

Roto,

I have a TC29D and with the pressure adjusted about 150 lbs higher than it should be I still cannot lift my wheels off the ground even with the bucket tipped way forward. I have to put pressure on my loader and then move forward to get the front wheels off the ground.

I realise a bunch of people here can lift theirs off but there is just as many that can't. I talked to two dealers, one being the one I bought mine from and they said you should not be able to. When I questioned them about people here being able to they pretty much said them guys are lucky. New Holland has never touted being able to lift the tractor.

That is just what the dealers told me.

Mine can't and I am happy with that, I can lift if by just moving the tractor forward.

Roto,
I have the same tractor as Murph, the TC29D with SS. I also have the pressure about 150 lbs above the specs (set by the dealer) and I still can't lift the front, not even if I place the bucket on top of a RR tie which gives me an additional 8 inches. I am not complaining about it, just wondering why some can do it and not others. I also talked with the dealer and he basically said what Murph stated.

I asked the dealer when I was in West Bend, WI.

He told me - of course it should lift the front tires off the ground without the curling circuit making it happen. Super steer or not super steer and without a rear counter weight and without the need to be in Nuetral and with the RPMs at about 1800 rpm. In other words - it should not be an issue. He believes that units that have the MAIN pressure relief valve set to low can't do it because it don't matter how high the loader valve is set if the Main relief kicks out too soon.

OK,

I agree the pressure relief valve could be messed up. How does one adjust that on a TC29D???

Murph, I have a 1920 and the loader will lift the front end off the ground but the stabilizers on the 758C BH won't lift the rear tires off the ground. Go figure, Bill C

Murph,

When you find out how to adjust the main relief - let me know.

I can't lift my tires either (and yes I know all of the things one must consider).

One thing I want to mention.

I believe that concern related to the lift arm cylinders being at the end of their range (causing the inability to lift the tires) can be removed by simply making sure that you tilt the bucket down 1/4 of the way before trying to lift the tires with down pressure. In this configuration you will easily have enough stroke range to raise both tires high enough to completely clear the ground on both sides.

Yes I know that most of you know this - but I have seen comments several times related to this issue.
