Well Robert i just may have to fire the tractor up tomorrow night and checl out those corner lights. I just might learn something. ;-)

still not happy with teeney wiring. I think I will do a search for striped wiring and a good fuse block. Re-wiring this pupy might be my next project after the fuel tank.

A Universal Kit from Painless Wiring might be a good, if pricey, choice. They offer both 12 and 18 circuit models.

Hey thanks Mike. I didn't know there was a company who did that. I will have to look into it

There are two issues I see. The neutral switch under the left rear fender should be redesigned. The fiber plastic dash does fail in a few years. Most TCs I have seen have cracked where the threaded inserts are on the backside of the dash. Real Brittle for sure. About $250 to replace it plus labor.

Pulled rear wheel to drop tank and repair leak. Of course the plugs on the PTO switch and brake switch were half off. I plugged them in tight and used wire ties to keep them tight. Found the reason fuel level indicator wasn't working is because the ground wire was broken. Maybe if the wiring was a little thicker than a human hair it wouldn't break so easily.
Go to start the tractor and it doesn't turn over. hmmmmmm. wiring all connected and tight. Just for laughs I hold the key while I turn the key I play with fuses and it fires up. Just another day of fiat electrical engineering. And if I get a chance to run it next weekend I'll turn over 400 hours.

Sounds like you had a fuse with some corrosion on the blade.

If it were me.. i'd pull each fuse and use a qtip to wipe a bit of dielectric grease on each side of each balde and replug. If no DE grease.. then use vasolene. Might solve dozens of problems for you... now and in the future.

If you find a fuse holder that is loose.. use a jewlers flat screwdriver and -adjust- the blade holder contacts.

when I replaced the dash panel I cleaned all of the contacts in fuse box and made sure tension was good. I put all brand new fuses in as well and used permatex dieletric grease. Hence my surprise at the problem being in the fuse box......
I also made sure the wires were all tight on the contacts as well.
The good news is I am getting to be an old hand at pulling the left side rear wheel. I'm so happy to have a fuel gauge that works too. Sometimes it's the little things..... ;-)
