NH Quick-attach

Re-reading your post, Doc-Bob, I have to agree with Skurka-Bob. We were all talking about something you weren't asking about. Sorry.

( ( NH has a Quick-attach system. I know nothing about it. It looks proprietary; I suspect it will only work with NH implements. Just guessing.

They have a front mounted snow blower and snow plow that uses this Quick-attach system.

I am really asking two questions. Is the Quick-attach system a good idea and does it lock me into implements from only NH? And second, is it better to use non NH implements such as a snow plow and blower?

Doc Bob, with all due respect to everyone who has posted before me, I think they misunderstand you post.

While they are all correct that NH has a standarized skid steer QA system for their FEL, I believe your question is in reference to the Quick Attach system that is used for the NH front mount implmenets that are NOT mounted on the FEL arms.

If I understand your question correctly then let me state that the front implement QA system is proprietary and used for their Snow Blower, Rotary Broom, and front snow/gravel blade. It is also very very unlikely that you will find those implements as aftermarket implements that will fit on the front of your tractor. The QA system is available for the a wide range of TZ and TC Boomer tractors. The one TC that it may not (I simply don't know) be availabe for is the TC30. But I know the system works from everything up to at least the TC45 and possibly beyond that size. The attached photo shows the QA system on the front of a little TZ New Holland.

If I misunderstand your post and you want a REAR mounted Snow Blower, then you can buy any brand of 3pt blower, some are better some are worse but a 3pt hitch is a universal attachment system.

Yes, you are correct, my question. I was referring to the QA that looks like a male/female setup. Sorry for any confusion that my question might have raised.

No apologies needed. I learned something from the discussion, and that's what this place is about. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks Bob for jumping in...I read it correctly the first time I went through the posts...but all the talk about the FEL QA almost got me ready to jump in with how much I like the Skid steer QA on my FEL but you brought us back to the question.

The NH picture sure illustrates the reasons I think some times it would be nice to have a "low rider" FEL. Even better visability, keeps the implement close to the tractor and can provide better pushing strength....course it kind of defeats the purpose of what most people use an FEL for /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I am also very intriqued by the mention of an electric actuator on the FEL QA....Depending on the linkage it would seem as though that could be a pretty big actuator. I have seen hydraulic ones but an electric one would spare me a remote (or diverter). Any more pics/details?

good luck Bob_Doc
