I built a new house and left the old one standing on my proprty. A couple from the wifes church asked if they could live in it until they got back on their feet. Its been 2 years they've been 'getting on their feet' , rent free, which apparently means doing nothing.

Probably none, with the only possible exception being a wake up call. Her daughter is trouble heading for serious trouble, her son is already there, and a deadbeat also.

I was never offered to be paid, never figured they had the money till I saw the beer and the bike. If they can do this, they can take care of the grass. The gal is being taken advantage of from all sides, and has given in to her kids and her bf. What she really needs to do is move to an apartment with none of the home responsibilities, but I doubt that she can get one.

wonder WHEN some one will get that X guy to start that, MOVE into a nice vfancy house next to some snooty guy and drive him crazy... pull up with a beverly hill billys pick up with about 40 little kids, and a bunch of cars on blocks over night! see the reactions from the neibors...

anyhow for danny:

i would say, humm my grass is all done, I got other things to do... if they ever ask, like others said, stop mowing, and letting THEM take advantage of both YOU and HER...

I was mowing grass for $ when I was 9 yrs old, making 1~3 bucks for city lot... when snow flied, I was shoveling for 50cents per side walk, and 1~3 for a full drive. kept me supplied with hot wheels, and MAD mag (or cracked too)...

never got a NEW bike, never got a Motorcycle, Never got a go cart only thing I ever got was a feeling of SELF WORTH Accomplishment and knolage that I WASN'T HELPLESS like todays kids are1; OH I got a few other things too, they were called BLISTERS and SORE FEET! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

No other houses for rent, but you would not want this one anyway, it is in shambles inside and the grass is about a foot tall, some lousy $#%^^&&^ neighbor quit cutting the grass for her for free since she obviously can afford trinkets and alcohol, but can not seem to afford to get her grass cut.

I also mowed grass for pocket money when I was growing up. Gas was cheap, and 3 to 4 bucks would fill my 64 falcon for a couple nites of fun and back seat boogy. We used to camp out every friday nite in either the treehouses or the log cabins we had in the woods beside my house. Those were the days! That was 35 years ago.
