Nice little 3020 I picked up

cowboydoc,
That would be fun. We'd be like a motorcycle gang...hanging out and talking. About our machines, angry yellow jackets, mowing chores, grading driveways, conquering dirt piles with our loaders, blazing trails through our brush...you know...manly stuff.
Unfortunately, I don't get to the Quad Cities too often. I've always said that I was a Mid-Westerner born in the east. When the land starts getting flat and wide-open...that's when I feel at home. That probably explains why I have taken my last several vacations in the Mid-West. ...people think I'm crazy...but, they just haven't been "enlightened" yet.

Dave,

I have a 4020 and use it for everything. I disagree with your friend about it being too heavy. Unless you are in swampy ground you won't have a problem. The 4020 is a great tractor for what you are wanting to do. Most of these have differential lock and it's tough to get them stuck. If you have a loader you won't get stuck, unless you absolutely bury it and even then 4wd isn't going to help, because you have the loader to push yourself out with. When you consider the equivalent of this tractor is $60-70k new $8k for one isn't bad. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Does the 3020 have a differential lock? If so, how is it engaged?
