Hi all
Curious roughly how long it takes you all to install / remove the #7 backhoe?

Takes about 5 minutes to mount or remove the #7 on the x55 series. The mounts for 750 are a little different so I can't speak for how long it takes to mount or remove on that series tractor.

Hi.
The former owner of my JD750/#7 backhoe also took of the seat assembly
Curious if perhaps you may be interested in selling yours as I'd prefer to have a seat back there?

Hello.

I think my first post

I have a 955 with model 40a loader and today I located and bought a Model #7 backhoe in great shape with subframe (and second owner) - I do have to instal Power Beyond on 955 - which I knew when I bought it because I do not have it. (Any/all advice appreciated with Power Beyond) - in particular is there only one Power Beyond kit - or are they tractor specific?

And

now that I am looking in this forum and trying to figure how it gets mounted it appears from photos posted that I need to go back and ask for the rear hangers (I think previous owner had it on an 850) - and front hangers? (I have 60” mid mount mower deck - is where the drag arms of deck mount what front pins mount to?) what else do I need to ask for (or get/ make if 850 is different from 955) off his tractor to make it mount onto 955. Thank you in advance.

Looking forward to having Model 7 for light landscaping/ trenching. Not commercial - occasional yard work.

Again thank you.

You do know that you are responding to an 8 year old post?

:welcome: to TBN

Ok to bring up old posts, and hope you get some help with mounting the model 7. Post up some pics of what you have. We like pics.

The power beyond kit likely not available, but am sure some searching here on TBN (using the google search button up top works best for me) will find some previous posts on adding the power beyond. Have to dig around under the seat to connect into the right lines I believe. And order individual parts if available.

Lots of talent on TBN to give you a hand.

Hi GBB, You are in luck, as I just bought another 955 without the backhoe, so I can directly compare the two. There is a front and rear mounting bracket and tapered pins (2) that hold the forward frame of the backhoe. You will need the power beyond kit that attaches to the hydraulics of your tractor under the seat. I removed the backhoe seat as I find it is just easier to twist around and run the controls from the main seat. Not terribly comfortable, but you will find when trenching that you need to move so often that it's much easier to skip the climbing from the main seat to the backhoe seat and back every 5-10 minutes. Deere should have come up with a swivel main seat there. I will take some pictures of both so you can see the differences. Lastly unless you have some real projects in mind(I have ran 275 feet of electrical power trench and two foundations, plus stump removals and burying two horses with the backhoe) but as an attachment it will sit more than dig, so save yourself the $ and rent whenever you feel the urge to dig. The parts you need will total over $1500; some may be difficult to even obtain. Bear in mind that the 850 single rear mount is a different part number(PT 10466) than the 955 two parts ( AM 104207, 208).
