No Spill Diesel Can that works?

Oh that was you! Yes I remember that thread. I don't have Mastercam at home ;) but I could manage drilling a hole...Most of us can...;)

But you are basically showing what I do. I never bother refueling unless I know it will take at least a full 5 gal. I can't go through diesel THAT fast...

Since we have a 300 gallon bulk diesel tank the only thing we haul is gasoline. I bought a couple of these in 5 gallon size, added the yellow vents and they work very well, no spills.

You can turn them upside down but, fuel doesn't flow until the trigger, on the spout, is depressed by setting it on the fuel fill of tank. The weight is supported and takes about 45 seconds to empty 5 gallons.

On my bx, I use 2 2-1/2gal. EZpours. They are easier to carry and lift than a 5gal, and they rest on the handle on the tractor fender while pouring. I do admire that cam setup to keep it draining, however.

I have a so called No-Spill Diesel Can and it's the worst thing ever there is no air vent so you get that splashing going on and it takes forever to get anything out of it.

I've been removing the hole spout part and just using a funnel but even then it splashes all over my B2650. You can buy different spouts but they cost a bit $10-15 bucks each.

Anyone try making a vent in the can to help?

Pertaining to your original question, yes, I have vents in my gas cans. The No-Spill cans with the larger vents placed dump 5 gallons in 45 seconds in to the tractor now. The gas cans I have, I use the Ez-Pour nozzles. I bought two, and the cans get solid caps when not in use. See pics.

Can't find it now but, read an article a few months ago about the danger potential with metal fuel cans, low humidity, and plastic pickup bed liners. In times of very low humidity, static charges can build up in those plastic bed liners transferring easily to the metal gas cans. When you try to fill the metal can, still sitting on plastic bed liner, a discharge can occur when the metal fuel nozzle contacts the "charged" metal can.

FWIW it's safer to set can on the concrete before filling.

Allright, Luke, I bought one with Amazon One Click ordering.

Lol. That one-click is really dangerous!

I have two for diesel. Eventually I will replace my 4 gasoline cans with them.
