Noise level of a Kioti diesel?

Uh, I think you missed there. The new 24 valve Cummins engines are quieter than your family sedan. Perhaps you mean the older 12 valve Cummins, but many of those have now been pumped up to 500 hp with over 1000 ft. lbs. of torque.

Otherwise, it's simply standard protocol for most all diesel pickups to shut of their engines if you go through drive through. If you don't, just try to figure out why your order will be intentionally screwed up. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Got to agree with Dargo on this one. The Common Rail Cummins are quieter than the DMax and the PowerStroke.
Once mine gets warmed up enough for the the grid heaters to turn off, it's very quiet.
My Tractor engine is loader, and it's not bad even at 2600 RPM.

I have no complaints of the noise level of my 45S. Brush hogging at 2200 rpms I can carry on a conversation on the cell phone. I imagine with a cab it would be real quiet. I'm usually on the phone asking the wife when is lunch, or I need more fuel. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif 45S has a drinking problem in 5' tall grass. Now my friend down the street has that Oliver {I believe 1850 or 1950} with a straight pipe Detroit and a 5 bottom plow. Now were talking some noise. I can hear him over a mile away. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It's not the 24 valve that made the cummins engine quiet it's the common rail fuel injection. There were several years of cummins/rams up to 2003 that used a clackety 24 valve engine. I would actually give that 99-2003 range 24 valve the award for the loudest cummins ever. The newest engines in theis latest body style are now the quietest on the market. Good job Cummins.

Hello the group.. I am planning on buying a DK55 Kioti Tractor .and I don't reallly know what you have?...is this a tractor? and if so , how many hours did you have on it that it needed rebuilt?..and also how old is it?.....want a tractor that i will outlive...? so I would welcome a little info....
by the way I looked at a NH TN65 and when the dealer started it up I thought that it was going to shake the fenders off!....thanks for any clarification on your post(problem) Mike
