Nice looking chains, Pete. Are they primarily for ice and snow, or are they equally applicable to mud? I'm seriously considering some chains for the EF-5.
I actually used them hauling firewood last mud season and was very impressed by the additional traction they provided. The one drawback to using them in mud is the incredible mess they leave...especially since mud season's freezes make using the hoses dicey.
Rob -- Thanks! We're at about half our normal snowfall for this time of year, and approaching January thaw so might lose it all. My hope is that the packed snow on the sled run survives till the stuff starts falling again.
I found a company out east that has a limited website. I received a free copy of their catalog and it had a lot of photos showing different types of chain and chain patterns. There were some patterns for ice, deep snow and another for crawling over wood. The site is http://www.labonville.com/
