When does a two-speed PTO come in handy?

Standard PTO speed is 540RPM. Some implements are made to run at 1000RPM so there are PTO's that run at that speed. About the only thing I want from my 2305 is draft (position) control on the 3point.

The only thing I didn't like about my L3010 was the lack of valve stem guards on the front wheels. Pretty minor thing. I have the valve stems inside on the rears.
I would also like larger front tires. I would be better off in the woods.

Odd you say that...my Kioti has front valve stem guards, but NOT rear guards. not sure why. Seeing as ive sheared them off in the past, i wish i had them. I have no intension's of having the tires emptied so i can add them though. guess ill wait till tire replacement time

I have a L3240 but only 50 hr on it so far. Cant think of any big things i dont like about it. Just a few "minor" items, which are
I'd love to have a horn
A cup holder up front that holds a regular sized coffee mug.
A power outlet be great too (12Volt)

again, you reminded me, my Kioti has a horn...but it a d**n volkswagon beetle sounding horn. I couldnt stand it, and replaced it with a throatier horn. WHY would anyone put a beetle horn in a nice beefy tractor. I have a power outlet though, thats nice. can run a corded emergency light if needed

I'm working on installaing a horn to my L3940 right now! Got the horn (~$12), wire & fuse holder at Pep Boys. Got the button at Radio Shack. Already had all the connectors, heat shrink wrap, etc. Just need to solder the wires to the back of the button ... & find the perfect place to mount it. I'm thinking on the Range Selector / Cruise Control side panel. I mounted the horn itself on the cross bracket under the hood that is right above the battery & in front of the radiator. It even already has a threaded hole that's perfect to secure the horn & its ground wire! It requires an 8mm 1.25 thread bolt (~3/4" long) & a lock washer of course.

You should be able to add both of those easily enough

I love my powder coated steel fenders and hood and the 1700A Cummins diesel engine as well as the heavy weight that gets the power to the ground on my 3510i Branson. Had a 770 John Deere that was light enough that I could pick it up in my 3510i loader.
The mud shields are great too.
What I don't like are the R4 tires. Have chain up for winter.

When does a two-speed PTO come in handy?

I was thinking it would be good for light electrical load on my pto generator, lower engine rpms.

Given that the addition of a clutch is a production cost representing a price increase I doubt most companies would add an unnecessary cost and operator procedure that might reduce sales.

I would suggest that it's more of a savings on the production line, to not have to retool/ re engineer a non clutch model. Just a thought.

On the JD 790, the operator station is rather cramped. I would love to have a little more room between the seat and the area beneath the dashboard so I could get my foot (with a boot on it) through without hitting something everytime.

I would also like for the battery tray to be made from stainless steel, or some composite material that battery acid doesn't affect.

A 3 x 3 transmission (for 9 speeds) would be one notch better than the 4 x 2 (8 speeds) that it has now.
