Number of Trick or Treaters last night?

I was at Mom's last night and she had a total of one trick or treater...

Every year she has a small Jack-O-Lantern on the porch.

This year... she was the only one anywhere in her residential neighborhood.

I remember hundreds of kids on Halloween as a kid in the same house?

Is Halloween fading away where you are?

Haven't had any for the last probably 5 or 6 years. In years past, this neighborhood was full of young families and you couldn't keep enough candy. We used to run out and have to run into town.

0. We never have had any. Semi rural with 5 and 10 acre lots, long driveways, and not many kids even in the neighborhood. Been there 19 years.

My brother still lives in the house we grw up in, in town. He takes my nephew out; they get lots of kids still.

We have the only house on a dead-end road, 4/10th of a mile from the highway.

My kids are grown, so I can't really say if it's a trend.

We live right on the road but in three years not one Halloween guest. Neighbor across the road has 2 boys but they don't come over either. We don't even buy candy anymore.

NO!!! You got it all wrong. You still need to buy candy, "just in case." Make sure that you pick out something that you like. Then, you can eat it next week. Don't want leftovers to go to waste!

Now that we're back in town, we always expect quite a bunch, and last night was the fewest we've had in the last 10 years. We had nice weather, so I don't know what happened. I think we had about 6 last night. I had wondered if we were buying enough candy and it turned out that we bought 10 times as much needed. I was in Walmart an hour ago and they have huge bins of "Halloween" candy; all at 50% off.
