Look into the small KIOTI CK2510 HST. I just went through your process, and it is what I bought W/Turf tires (weighted) and an FEL about $28 K @ zero percent for 7 years 350 per month or less. It is a VERY capable tractor with plenty of grunt to drag logs, and will lift half a ton no problem. Uses roughly half a gal of diesel per hour @24.5 Hp rating but it dyno tests at 27. Kioti is very good stuff. The CH3510 is a good one too, but about 10,000 more money. Everyone sez to get the 35, but its mostly overkill. (and does not come with a center PTO as standard)

This. I won't push a particular colour. At 2 acres you may want to consider a separate Lawn Tractor, then outfit your SCUT with R4 tyres.

Good luck, G'day Mate and welcome to TBN from Downunder. Enjoy the site.
Good advice from Watail on two machines if you can swing it. But I will brag a little on color. Do some searching on BX threads hear on the forum and take a look at what folks have done. If you will be working on hills, rough terrain, and can get a separate mower, I recommend the R4s. I opted for a Zero turn for mowing. I have a lot of tight spaces so the BX and Z turn are great. I did not go with a MMM because I knew I would have to take it on/off too frequently and that isn't convenient. Good luck on your hunt... you will be surprised what a little tractor can do.

I have a finish mower and a belly mower. The finish mower does a better job because it has a blade tip speed of 26,000 FPM. The finish mower is also easier to remove than a belly mower. The belly mower is slightly easier to mow with especially if you have obstacles to mow around. I have a 72" finish mower bought for a L3240 which pulled it great. I have to keep the L3240 at another property to perform actual tractor work so we bought a B7100 to take over the mowing. The B1700 can pull the 72" mower ok as long as the grass is short and the ground is flat, but since it only has 17 engine hp it is a little lacking. As long as the ground is flat a BX25 should be able to pull a 72" mower. My finish mower has 7 gauge deck construction and weighs 750 pounds. Since the tractor only weights 1,200 pounds as you can imagine it doesn't do well on hills. The finish mower had been in storage since the L3240 was retired from mowing. I had to move it one day because it was in the way. The only machine I had was the B7100, so I hooked it up and pulled it out of the way. I decided while it was hooked up I might as well take it for a test run. I was surprised at how well it handled it, and I have used it to cut the field several times. image-3871745521.jpg

I have been looking to buy a sub compact tractor

I have 2 acres, so I need it for mowing my lawn which some parts are hills.

I am a wood burner and would like to buy log length wood so i can split my own,

So something that is strong enough to move log length firewood, yet can move around and not ruin my lawn while mowing it.

Id like to get a loader with a grabble attachemnt, a wood splitter wood be awesome for the rear, and a belly deck mower or rear attachment.

Never owened on at all or been on one. I have used rented many times skid steer machines and dingos.

Dont wanna spend more then i should.

Im all ears and love learning and any one that is local id love to come buy and check out your machines so i can learn real time vs reading.

Niko..

Well "Niko", if you own/run a restaurant . . you know that there is a lot more to it than printing up a food menu. Same thing is true about a tractor . . . a wish list is nice but you have to add perspective.

1. A forum like this has a ton of knowledge but you need to focus it to your reality.

2. Moving "log length wood" could mean 8" diameter or it could mean 30" diameter. My Massey GC1715 sub compact hauls about 7 feet of 24" diameter dense timber at a time (about 550 pounds). 2 big men can't pick up what my 25hp tractor can . . But I can't haul a whole 30 foot tree log either unless its only 9 or 10 inches of dense wood. Note: I wrote HAUL . . not drag. Cut it to 7 to 12 foot lengths in the field and haul it over that lawn if you need to.

3. I'd limit consideration to 3 brands . . Kubota, Massey, and Yanmar because each is a long long long standing builder of both combined engine/tractor compact/subcompact diesel tractors (Kubota, Iseki, Yanmar).

4. Again . . . its about focus. For mowing . . understand kubota offers 4 mid decks and so does Massey. Each deck offers slightly different advantages. They do a very fine job of cutting a lawn.

5. I spent 8 years studying and planning what subcompact tractor I'd buy (kubota bx choices or yanmar sc2400). On the 9th year I made a different decision than on the 8 years prior (massey gc1700 series). And some other brands might be fine but I didn't want big or clunky.

6. What's my point in the 1st 5 on this list? Everything can't be a priority need. You have to have specifics to combine on your wish list. I wanted a 5 year warranty. I wanted something that had a differential lock, great engine and cooling, highly manueverable on steep hill and flat land alike. I wanted a operator area with flat floor and comfort for my legs and knee considerations. I wanted brute power in a size that still made a couple of acres look like a nearby golf course yet can haul a big rock and move snow. And it had to be very affordable (15,000 plus implements beyond loader and mower)

Lastly . . I wasn't afraid to consider dealers a 100+ miles away because I knew its the combination . . not the convenience . . that would get me my desires. Good company, good product, good dealer, good price.

Well said, AxleHub.

I know that I've got into the habit of trying to answer/solving the OP's question as best that I can... your answer is focussed on the reality of the provided situation.

Especially your first 3 sentences of 'point 6'. Spot on.

If you are going with the tractor operated splitter, make sure the hydraulics(GPM) are enough to handle it.

Im trying to Axle but for a beginner in this market it is very diifficult to break in. I know i come from a way different perspective then most of you. Their is no one around me at all that owns a scut, everyone has landscaping companies and most lf them use scags. I am def the new guy on the block, my house had only 1 owner before me so everything is original lol. I like and love to do things myself, Takes me longer but thats why i would like to buy a scut vs renting other machines. I dont always have 8hrs a day to do straight landscaping. Sometimes all i have is 1-3 hrs which is fine for me, ill tackle things lil by lil. I have a wife and a 3 year old so i give them as much attention as i can.

Sorry but this machine needs to be versatile and needs to tackle many different jobs and do them all well. I know it will have limits, this I understand. I dont mind at all taking smaller pieces and making more trips vs taking one big piece.

My priorites are mowing lawn, moving logs around, splitting wood. Maybe in the future and a back hoe.

As far as warranties im starting to write down what companies offer and at what price points. Im not afraid of driving out of my area to see a machine and a new dealer. Im taking things slow for now so i can absorb as much as i can.

Thing one thing i do know is I will keep my scut for a long time 20+years. Not looking to upgrade to a bigger model or buy a fancier one either.

Ok how do i do that? What type of gpm is needed? Is thier a chart? gpm=This many tons?

gpm will only affect speed of the ram -- pressure and ram size determines the tons. You want high enough gpm so the ram moves at a suitable speed, otherwise it will be too slow.

Btw, I think standalone gas splitter makes a lot more sense.
