I wonder why we waste time to write up requirements and regulations when in the end all we do is go with whomevers opinion? Kind of like saying it's against the law to drink and drive unless you do it while phil is on duty

I'll bet that the stove mfgr will be able to get you a letter or some specs to show that it fits into 'automatic' category. Give it a try.

My county tax records listed electric base board heaters instead of HVAC systems.

The FHA people had a ball with us, over this.

If your county records list something favorable for your position, can you use that against the FHA opinion?

Also, don't you need an in-person appraisal? They may be able to help you too?

The person that did the appraisel made a bunch of mistakes which has caused even headaches.

Well I think FHA requires two appraisals. Document everything and make sure the next one gets the right information.

My wife just talked to them this is their personal choice, they kept saying it was an FHA regulation, but finally admited it is not Seems like the underwritter doesn't care for pellet or wood stoves of any type and has real issue's with them

I feel like I'm surrounded by a rock a hard place and a pile of $*&# not sure which way to turn. I will take your advice thanks

I went through an FHA process about 10 months ago. I had to have the mortgage broker step in and set them straight. It pays to ally with the lender/banker. I can share my details in a PM if you need them....
