I heard that the game wardens caught a poacher that way off road diesel is might not such a big deal compare to bears,deers elk.
you could always call the DOT and admit an error and ask how to pay for one full tank of back road tax. NO one with any sense would fine you I wouldn't think?
Dipping usually occurs when diesel farm trucks are parked on public property. Such as along the side of the road at auction sales.
Here, they drive onto private property. Anything diesel with a tag gets dipped.
Locking fuel cap would stop that.
What gives them the right to enter private land and search without cause?
