I worked on engines all my life and the only problem caused by removing the sulphur was a few leaking seals on Cummins. There is a chart giving the lubricity test results for fuel and a bunch of additives 2% bio diesel was by far the best, it is on the Diesel Garage site but if you just Google diesel lubricity test it will come up. Adding 2 cycle oil is a myth.

I lost a lot of work when they took out the sulphur, valve jobs work dropped to near nothing from multiple jobs a week, a turbo a week.
Europe had ULSD for years before we did and they never had any problems using it.
