Off topic but where can you buy a wallet?

When I take out all the business cards i seem to accumilate, and then throw out all the old receipts, phone numbers written on scrap paper, with no names attached, obsolete discount coupons, and who knows what other kind of useless junk, I can thin my wallet pretty good. I havent counted that cards I need to carry, personal credit card, debit card, company credit card, health insurance card, prescription card, several motel membership cards, FRA certification card, (Have to have it on me if I'm working), discount card for Graingers, Office depot, erosion certification card, pesticide license, Drivers license, man I still have way to much stuff and still no money.

About 14 years ago I bought a wallet at a flea market in Asheville. My son who was 13 at the time was playing Babe Ruth baseball. He is now 27 and I still have it. It is made out of heavy leather and is worn perfectly. My friend who was with us purchased two of them and just switched over to the new one. The old one was not worn out but he just went ahead and switched it out. Since then I have received several cheaper wallets but I just keep them for spares if needed. Wish I would have bought a couple more of them.

There is a small leather factory not far from here that used to make and sell, bilfolds, belts, pocketbooks, ect. The bilfolds would have prints on them, cowboy and indian, wildlife type stuff and they all had the edges laced to hold the halves together. To get the laceing work done they would pay people to do the work at home. I remember my grandmother would go get a big box of unfinished bilfold and the laceing and set in the living room laceing up bilfolds. She taught all us grandkids how to do the lacing, we kids would set for hours lacing up those bilfold, (actually probably more like 30min before we would be off doing something else). the factory store is still in business, but I dont know if they make anything or if it is just a store. The still sell leather products.

I dig butt ugly. Look at my wife. No really, I mean, wait... OK. yes, my wife is not a model. love her anyway. Butt Ugly is not a turnoff, if it is ugly but kinda cool then it is hip. Your wallet manufacturing could be a billion dollar business with todays wall street hipsters.

But I really don't need the billion dollar biz. I'm very happy with my life the way it is. Besides, I'm certain there's more than a few people who would say I should work on my welding skills before venturing into leathercraft.

Redwing shoe store here has wallets made from scrape leather had my current bi fold for 4 or five years now and love it!

Well I havent had time to drive down to the store, but they do have a facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/kings.leathercraft/about, nothing there about their products, They also have a youtube video,https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twvu3F7tU6E that shows store stock, but not much on the bilfolds. I guess the only way to know for sure is to just drive over and have a look. I havent been there in a long time, but they used to have some big displays of bilfold, and women pocketbooks, saddle bags for motorcycles, jackets and such
