My dealership is charging $11.00 + tax for an engine oil filter for the B7610.

I'm hoping to find a quality substitute filter for the Kubota part # HH150-32094 at a lesser price.

I buy most filters for my other equipment from NAPA, but they were unable to cross-over this part number.

Has anyone out there already figured out a good substitute filter for this unit or can anyone point me to a web site that might provide a good cross-over chart?

I hate to sound cheap, but every little bit helps these days and although some people say it isn't necessary, I change the filter EVERY time I change the oil.

Thanks in advance.

Mike

If you look up a B7610 on wix oil filters website it shows part # 51064 for your oil filter. Just go to wix filters homepage and do a search

Not much savings then. I just bought a 1064 Napa Gold and paid $9.74. It says 'made by Wix' right on it.

There some ironry here. Do yall spend the bucks on SUDT or even UDT? but save a couple bucks on an oil filter? I guess I'm backards..I use regular tractor oil and a Kubota oil filter. :) I think mine are about 6-7 bucks.

For me it's more of a convenience thing. The Kubota dealer is out of my way, the NAPA dealer is nearby.

It's kind of funny for the air filter, it doesn't even pretend to be the Kubota brand. It has the manufacturer's p/n right on the end!

We sell it online for $9.35. You really not going to find anything thats much cheaper. Its not worth the $2/filter to mess with an automotive filter that may not stand up to an off road appliction. Most of this stuff is OEM'ed by Cummins/Fleetguard. We cross reference the stuff back to the OEM all the time, but often its actually cheaper to buy the Kubota filter.

Please don't get me wrong, I don't mind paying a few dollars more for a better quality filter (oil, etc.). I just thought that it might be one of those times that the "Kubota filter" was just a NAPA filter with Kubota paint on it at twice the price. I have run into this issue with other equipment in the past.

Not to mention that my Kubota dealership is closed on weekends, which is always when I realize that I need to do an oil change and NAPA is open 7 days a week.

Looks like I'll be sticking with the OEM filter.

Thanks for the input.

Thanks for jogging my memory, the air filter is a Fleetguard. Looks like I too will be buying from the dealer.

On a side note, when I was at the dealer picking up a turn signal to replace the broken one on my BX I noticed that there was a filter "kit" for the Kubota RTV 900. The kit included oil, tranny, air and fuel filters and seemed to be quite a bit less than the individual filters for my BX. Is there such a kit for tractors too?

Did you ever catch this thread? Any truth to my L2500 filter now coming straight from Japan?

Hey WV,

Like you its always when the dealer is closed or when I get the bug to do an oil change on my truck and its after hours, so...

For the first change I always by 2 filters and twice the oil...Expensive the first time, but now I have a oil change kit ready for me...

I mkae a habit of restocking, ASAP ie the next day or so, other wise I'm back to square one....

I always end up doing this stuff spur of the moment, nothing on TV so I grab a "cold one" and head to the garage...

Just a thought....

I don't work for Kubota.
I'm not a dealer.
But I would like to share the following with you.
My 3030 whined extremely loud with NAPA filters. Replaced with Kubota filters and the wine went away.
I'm afraid that the NAPA filters provided "Superior" (lower micron rating) but at the cost that it was more restrictive.
Since they were more restrictive, I believe that they were causing cavitation in the pump causing it to wine at low RPMs
: )

The ONLY other filter I would consider using is a fleetguard. These are really made for tractors and off road equipment. The differences between filters can be staggering when you see them cut appart. Fleetguard OEM's most of the filters for NH, Case, Deere, etc. However, often they are more expensive to buy the fleetguard branded filter than it is to just buy from the private label.

Fleetguardfilterstore.com, Your #1 Source for Fleetguard Filters has two filters that will work for this application at about half the price:

LF3707 -- $5.55

LF3462 -- $5.71

if you by a case you get 5% more off the total.

if you have a good friend at a ford dealer, they can get them cheaper
many fords have oem fleetguard filters (f350 450 and up)
when i got my dodge diesel my friend got me oil filters for 3.00 ea by the case
but that was 20 years ago
the big trucks go a million miles and only use fleetguard
you cant go wrong using fleetguard

I will "second" the recommendation for Filter1. Filter1 Wix heavy duty engine, oil, automotive, truck, and tractor filers.

I have been buying from them for about 4 or 5 years. I set up an account and just order for myself, family, friends, and coworkers. I have ordered filters for everythng from dozers and log skidders to marine engines to motorcycles and gensets. Not to mention filters for my Kubota B7100D. I haven't ordered any for my new B3200 as of yet as it still only has about 10 hours on it!
