Oil type question

I'm a fan of the 5W-40 full synthetic oils myself so that is what I run in my tractors, lawn mowers and small 4 stroke engines.
Also used it in my RAM eco-diesel.

Up here in MN I use 10-30 Farm Rated in winter. I think I could run it summertime too, but the oil pressure is a bit lower in the heat of mowing season.
