Yeah, don't let the pedal factor too much into your choice. I had a Grand L, and didn't really appreciate the features until it was gone. They will grow on you, and become valuable, not just frills and fluff. Unless you wear size 16 boots, the single pedal works just fine, IMO. It's simple design, and as such, easy to service if needed- my tractor would sometimes shut off if I left the seat while the pedal was in "neutral"- a 5 minute adjustment of the sensor lever above the pedal fixed that, and the 5 minutes includes figuring out what was needed.

'Rocker' pedals on my CUTs aren't actual 'treadles' like my Terramite came with & I struggle with guys using 'treadle' to refer to them both as if the same. I've sat on a dual-pedal HST machine or three just to compare pedal access & my failing joints are more comfy with ~2" lift to actuate than the near 4" most duals seem to require. 'Heeling' to reverse when turned 1/2 way around in the seat seems IMO far more intuitive than stabbing a pedal with a long reach that's not in view then. (just me, lol, but far easier)
Again, rocker vs treadle operation:

Before I tinkered with linkages I might mod just the pedal instead but have yet felt a need to do either. btw, something to look for with HST is where the brake pedals are. Mine are all on the right above the go pedal. So much for brake-steering a tight radius turn. What I get for having a 'manual' PTO clutch on the left side.

The treddle on my MX5800 is similar to those on my previous four Kubota tractors so I had no issues with it. When I got my L6060, the treddle was different and I didn't like it at first. After putting 200 hours on the L, I now prefer it over the MX. As others have said, you get used to working with it and adjust your foot position accordingly.

Wish old threads got locked.
Not necessarily locked as there often is good information brought back into the light. Perhaps though, a different background color or something on threads which have been inactive for a while.

As an aside; the OP of this thread is still shopping and earlier this month opened another thread; this time about a Kubota 4060L.
