Old Yanmar owner whos looking at a new Yanmar, I have questions?

Yes, but Yanmar's system is apparently a little different (better maybe?) than most. I don't have experience with DPF's personally, but you can read about the Yanmar YT system here:

well, I stopped by the Toro dealer (yes, toro dealer here is selling yanmar tractors) I asked him about the 45 hp he has sitting out on the yard. He priced it at 35K.

I asked if they could ,or would plumb the tractor for a grapple. He said, what is a grapple ?

WOW !! You don't even know what a grapple is ? My bet is, you don't know much about the yanmar tractor you're selling either.
After I explained what a grapple was. He said, Oh, we aren't set up do do anything like that !


Is the type people yanmar is letting sell their tractors ?

I can't pay top dollar for a tractor the dealer knows nothing about !

That's a shocker. I know a lot of tractor dealers start out as lawn equipment dealers who just got bigger, but it that's just crazy. Maybe you just got the wrong salesman.

That's too bad. My local dealer has sold and serviced Kubota for 27 years but recently switched to Yanmar and LS.

I think 35k is MSRP for the 359. No reason you can't shop around if there's another dealer within reach.

he said this was the price for the 347 he had on the lot.. He didn't have a 359 and said he didn't know what the price would be

Hmm, maybe I'm wrong? I'd check out the configuration page on Yanmar's website. It has prices for everything.

I went to the page. I guess you can't really build the tractor. It must come like it comes.
Anyway, I clicked on the YT 347 and it showed a MSRP of 33K.

This nut should lower his price, especially since he doesn't know anything about the tractors.
I really have my doubts if something happened ,or you needed service. He would be lost !

wonder if these people **New Yanmar Tractors (21, 24, 35, 47 and 59 horspower 4X4)** - farm & garden - by dealer - sale know any more than the first guy I visited
