For the loading have you considered an old 3/4 or 1 ton stripped down with the loader or fork lift mounted on the back and rigged to drive backward?![]()
That'd be a pain to fab up.

For a place to start, I'd recommend what I have, (Deere 4300), but for a little more beef, a Deere 4700 (larger frame and more hp). Hydrostatic, FEL, forks, 3 ph with 3rd SCV. Mine has served very well for over 10 years now.
I've not found many things the FEL won't lift, given there is adequate weight on the rear.
Other brands will serve you well too.
