OMG, already thinking of winter

Winter doesn't start for 2.5 months. So above normal temps for the next three months doesn't excite me much.

We have had a couple of nights 28F so far.. Looks to be a bad winter coming here, luckily I will be in FL for most of it..

Caterpillars....... I haven't had a single one in the flowering cherry this fall. Usually get 3 or 4 big tents. Maybe the leaves, their food, fell off the tree too soon this fall. Still rains a bit every day and the early AM temps are well below freezing.

Dealer has snow blower and waiting for me, I have to move more hay bales first then comes blower time, $7750 plus tax installed, comes with power rotation

We are receiving snow here and more is in our forecast. (Keweenaw peninsula, UP of MI) Seems a bit early.

For those that don't know, that's the rabbit's ear, like a mile and a half from the North Pole. Santa hangs out close by.

16 inches at our property in South Dakota. It's going to be a long winter.

I'm a bit concerned here because we are seeing ice on the edges of ponds. A little early. So the ground temp is cooler faster than normal. So any moisture received has a better chance of being snow. So snow received will have less chance of melting off.
