Those Hodge stabilizers look just like the adjustable Kubota factory installed standard stabilizers that are on larger L series- I first enjoyed them on my
L3130, and would hate to go back to messing with turnbuckles!
My old John Deere had this threaded length adjuster, attached by a swinging pin.
So to tighten it up, remove the stabilizer pin, turn the adjuster a couple of turns, push the implement all the way to one side, and while holding it there with your shoulder, try to attach the stabilizer pin into the swinging pin on the tractor.
Then do the same on the other side.
Crud, its still too loose.
Do. Again.
Crud, its to tight now, and the pin won't engage.
Do. Over. This time loosening instead of tightening.
And you never, ever manage to do this on a nice day.
So given all of this, I was looking forward to using the Kubota turn buckle system.
However I realized that I was having enough problems getting my 5ft, 480lb boxblade horsed into the correct position in 2dimensions to engage the 3point. Getting a bigger and heavier boxblade lined up exactly by hand was just not going to be possible. So this time I'm investing in a guick hitch system.
