Just funning. Hey Soundguy: How do you stay married and get to keep ten tractors????? You have about one tractor per acre???????

A couple of them my wife actually urged me to get.. especially the loader one.. I picke dit up a few years ago when i had injured my back. It made for good help around the farm when i could not pick up a 50# bag of feed for a few months..

The rest? well.. sometimes she grumbles.. sometimes she doesn't !

It's when she comes home late from work, and it is midnight, and she finds me outside with a flashlight in my bathrobe working one one of them that sometimes causes an issue... Oh.. that and if she comes home early and I have a tractor part in the sing or (gasp) diswhasher degreasing it.. um.. or if I have a pot of water on the stove heating up some leather washers prior to installing them on hyd psitons.. etc... those sort of things cause the little 'rough' spots that married couples sometimes experience!! So far she has gotten over them, and I still wake up every morning..

Yeah I hear ya! Or like when I put freshly painted parts in the oven to 'bake on' the paint, man that really gets a rise out of my wife (when I get caught)

Exactly...

Have ya ever borrowed a measuring cup.. only to be 'given' it.. after it's use!!

My wife also notices little things like.. that I havn't cleaned my truck since I bought it 8 ys ago.. however the tractors get washed after use.. and some get waxed...

Say.. nice profile pic... lucky guy...

Save yourself (and your wife) some stress - look in the paper for a used dishwasher. They are usually $25 or so. I've got one in my shed to degrease old car parts. I've also got an old stove/oven mounted both on wheels. I swapped the oven plug for a one like my arc welder and use it for drying powdercoating parts. I think I've got less than $75 in both appliances and they work great & Ms.49T&C much happier.

I can't believe you did that, I've NEVER hit my garage door!! Mostly cause I've gotta hit my carport first, we won't talk about that though.

New tractor, new 12x24 shed to park it in........new big dents in the vinyl garage door upper siding.Bad thing about it is I almost did it again yesterday.Usually trying to out run a thunderstorm etc and not paying attention.
Have to invent a ROPS UP POSITION ALARM.
Some type of motion detector near the garage door that senses the tractor and sounds an alarm. Then I would have to remember what the alarm going off meant.

Well, I guess I had it coming. After all those years of laughing at the dummies who drove into their garages with the ROPs up, I can now humbly say I am one of those dummies as I just drove my CUT into my low shop garage door, you guessed it, with the ROPs extended!

I almost backed into my barn with the ROPS up. I was going so slow (1st gear) that I did not hit anything. Stopped and dropped the FROPS.

A few years ago I made a 10' tall flag pole that mounted on my 3 point hitch of my antique Allis D14 . I used it in parades and it looked great until...I was in a hurry to get it in the barn one night. I heard a loud smack when it hit the header above the garage door. It put a bend right in the middle of the pole before I could stop the tractor. Man was I irritated at my own mistake.

Once at a past job, i was driving a 2,5 ton asphalt roller into the workshop, it was cold and windy so i didnt want to let all the heat escape, so i didnt open the rolldoor fully. I didnt want to put that little Deutz to 2000 rpm on a cold morning, and at idle it didnt run quite well either... i hit the door that rolled down another meter, off the two levers (throttle and HST) i grabbed the wrong one and pushed it back as quick as i could... i dont know what i was trying or what i did wrong at that moment, but the HST could just accelerate the engine far enough before stalling it, to crush a few expensive door panels....
