I'm curious too. My LC9 is my EDC. The trigger is fine with some practice. The only issue that I had is some bullet shapes will sometimes jam on the feed ramp, Hornady Critical Defense being one of them. I just stick with Remington 115g hollow points and they function smoothly.

Yes there was a store in town years ago shutting down its weapons and ammo dept . I purchased a whole heap of premium 7MMWSM @ 11 bucks a box . Being a cowboy action type firearm shooter I ordered me a Browning BLR model 81 takedown lever in 7MMWSM . Been useing it for years , love it a real flat shooter with a minor "sting" with just a tee shirt on in hot and humid sunny sw Fla ..........................

Some of these little .380's don't have an external safety. I don't have, or had ever shot, an LC9, but I'd wager the trigger is similar to the LCP.
The trigger pulls tend to be comparable to double action triggers on revolvers...long and harder then a single action pull.
Trigger pull is why I sold my LCP (the original, not the LCP II). Couldn't hit a thing with it...
The Kahrs have no external safety and the long trigger pull is the safety. However, Kahr pistols have a very smooth, albeit long, pull. And, it seems they're all the same, regardless of caliber or model. I can't attest to that with all Kahrs, but both the CW380 and CW9 I own, the trigger is virtually identical.
So, why a long pull? In a self defense situation, one will be in a stress situation. You may want to shoot, but you don't want to shoot unless you are, in fact, ready to shoot. That long pull can prevent an accidental or negligent discharge
I was looking at an old Savage 99 in .303 British. Everybody told me that I wouldn't be able to find ammo so when I found it at Cabela's I ordered a box. By the time I got back to the guy he had sold the gun. He's a decent guy and I've bought a few other guns from him over the years so I just gave him the box to pass along or sell.
I ended up with a 99C in .308... a gun which I had wanted for years. Funny thing though I've never even sighted it in, and the gun just sets in the gun cabinet collecting dust.

Those small 380's are horrible. They will jump right out of your hand. Went to the range and shot several. The absolute only one we liked my wife and I was the S&W 380 EZ so we bought one from Academy. Fantastic gun and shoots amazing. She can rack the slide where she cant with my Taurus 9MM

Granted, some of these little .380's can be pretty snappy.
A firm grip helps since with many as one can only get two fingers on the grip. I use Pearce magazine extensions Pearce Grips on my Kahr .380. These allow room for a three fingered grip but don't appreciably increase the concealed carry advantages of the gun's small size. Now, I have a full three fingered grip on the little pistol

I was all ready to buy the LCP II until the guy at Academy suggested I go to the local range with the wife and shoot a few. So we went and shot all the 380's they had including the LCP II. Spent about $100 at the range doing this but avoided a larger mistake. By far the S&W 380 EZ was the clear winner. I would say the LCP II was a very distant 2nd. If all you want it for is self defense the LCP II might fit the bill. But for any range or target shooting the 380 EZ is the clear winner without breaking the bank. The gun, ear muffs, range bag was on sale at Academy for $300 at the time. Regularly $370 I believe.

I have an original LCP and like it. I use the same ammo the OP ordered. The LCP is way down on the list of guns I would want for self defense but has a big advantage, it is very concealable.
