Question. Can I use one of the remotes from the factory top n tilt to operate a grapple?

You really don't want to go that route .

After using by grapple a bunch with the kubota 3rd function . There's no other way I would want it .

Placed my order Tuesday and get an email from the dealer this morning saying he can't get a 5100. Offers to get me a 5200 at a discount? The 5200 has the new tier 4 engine which worries me.

No experts, but I will offer this. The other Kubota and for that matter other brands new Tier 4 final machines that are rolling off the line, and the owners have a few months experience with them report nothing bad and some good things. (less fumes, some report less noise, and a smoother running engine. I haven't heard of any failures or problems. Besides, it is what it is. If they are out of 5100's them a 5200 is what you are going to get unless you back out of the deal. All of the manufactures are running out of the older models and bringing in the new models.

Almost all Tier III tractors are gone. The few left are the least popular models. I waited too long to buy a Kubota L3540 so I have an L3560. That is life. No going back.

Aside from having to pause every 60 engine hours or so, to burn soot of DPF filter for 16 minutes, Tier IV is no big deal. Based on my experience with pricing L3540 versus L3560 that $5,100 discount is probably the difference in cost to the dealer between MX5100 and MX5200. The life of new particulate filter is supposed to be 3,000 hours. I will be dead before filter needs replacement.

GO FOR IT.

I expect Washington, D.C. is working on specs for Tier V as I write this.

Everyone cried when we went from Tier II to Tier III but tractors have continued to sell and dirt move.

Personally, I'd try to find a dealer with an mx5100 on the lot. That's where I found my MX 4700 three months ago. I'm pretty sure he had a 5100 sitting right next to mine.

The dealer where I just got mine from had three MX5100's sitting on the lot and one MX4700. They were sucked dry of L3800 and L3200's, however, and already had the Tier 4 counterparts - L3901 and L3301.

Look at other dealers I'm sure there's still one or two out there and a lot of dealers want trade there tractors because they know everyone wants the tier 3 stuff . There going to sell . My dealer is only getting one of the new tier 4 models in at a time he's not loading up on the new stuff Like he has in the past . He still has a few of the tier 3 stuff left .

Have your dealer call around. They trade/send units to each other all the time. I just bought the exact same tractor from the dealer in Temple and I think he said he had one more left. The dealer in Waco has a full lot, but I don't know if he has any MX5100's.
