Great looking machine! My dad had a ford 3000 industrial like yours. It had a very heavy box blade on it. It would pick up a cummins diesel engine or large round hay bales without any trouble. I still remember stacking those round bales three high on a gooseneck trailer. It was a hoss! I just don't see my 3520 doing that nor do I need it to. I noticed your 3000 had wheel weights so make sure you ballast your 3320. I know you will find it much easier to operate.

hey there chuck, thanks for the post! the old ford is a 3500 series, and yes it has lots of power but unfortunatlly is couldn't use that power on my property, all sand with about a 2 inches of top soil, even with new ag tires and wheel weights it got stuck every time i used it, then i'd spend alot of time repairing my mess ups. the new one has the rear tires filled with beet juice, they call it rim guard. when i tried out the 3120 i dug dirt, moved dirt, leveled dirt etc. and with the 4x4 never got stuck, loved it! the loader on my old tractor could pick up anything that i asked it too, including an engine out of a log skidder. so i can't complain about that, i just couldn't use it for the things i wanted to use it for so it had to go. the diesel in the old one sounded really good. well thanks again for the post. have a great day! lar

Yea, getting stuck was my only bad memory with it. More than once i had to walk away with it up to the axles in mud. I was too young then to think about getting out with the fel and not sure it would have helped in that case. Black "gumbo" dirt and its weight just would not mix.

enjoy your new machine. i'm sure enjoying mine.

hey chuck the weight of the ford was it's main drawback, i'm sure that if it was used at a construction site like it was intended for, it would be fine, but for use out back on my property it wasn't nearly as good as my old 8n ford, but it got retired long ago, and now i'm planning on restoring it to show at the old engine show at buckley mich. that i'm a member of. there is alot of old one's like it up there. the loader for it is somewhere at my brothers place and how he got it i haven't a clue, we don't get along very well so getting it back might not happen now that my father has passed on. my brother hasn't got any thing to put it on but.... oh well! thanks for the post. lar

I am glad I ordered the deluxe grill guard. That looks like it will protect the front end much better with the mesh and wrap around sides. Looks cold there!
One question: What's in the canister looking thing on the Frontier BB? I saw that at the dealer and forgot to ask.

hey there jeepinator, you just wouldn't believe what the canister looking thing is. it is there to hold the directions for the box blade. i thought it was there to hold my mountian dew. yup it sure is cold here! wish i would have had my new tractor 1 week ago when it was in the 60's. i would have had all the paint on the bucket scratched up and several hours on the tractor. have a great weekend! larry

thanks shawk! i sure hope to get a little warmer weather to do some work with it. if not check out the project that i'm going to do. it's an old plow off of my "52" jeep that i'm going to fabricate to be a quick detach plow on the frt. of my loader. it's been sitting around in the woods now for at least 13yrs. it's time to do something with it. if it works it should be more fun to plow with than my quad. i'll send more pic's as the project progresses. thanks for the post. have a great weekend. lar
again thanks to BloomingtonMike for the help with the photos

I'm afraid it'll be a while before the warm weather returns here... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Your project sounds like something that can help make the winter months pass though... keep us posted.

Hey crazy, great looking tractor. Glad you got the photo posting thing worked out. BTW, where's Stanwood MI? I'm down near South Bend IN. We're in for 3-5 inches tonight. Maybe I'll get some tractor time in the morning /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
