Good morning Mike *rubbing hands

I subscribed to your channel early on, around the 2 or 3k mark. I still watch those that have to do with forrest management.

0C today, but mostly cold and snowy all winter. Deep snowpack, no way to go logging using a tractor since b4 xmas, bad year for firewood.

So a couple general notes not aimed at anyone in particular.

If you've been on TBN long enough learn and understand that we are a group of peers, and that there are many good people here with decades of knowledge and experience, I think using terms like "hater" and "safety police" etc, are way out of place. It sounds like it's coming from a 17 year old girl who's trying to feel better about herself and dismiss somebody who trolled her Twitter feed. If my dad came over and chewed me out for being stupid or unsafe with some equipment (which happened many times) I wouldn't dismiss that, I'd listen and learn. If my wife suggests I am doing something stupid (which happens all the time) I listen and learn. When someone on TBN who has "been there and done that" gives feedback, I listen and learn. There are many smart, experienced, humble people here on TBN and we have a really honest, frank, helpful system of what I'd call "peer review" or "family review". People call it like it is. You don't have to agree with it, but I think you should be open minded to listen and not be dismissive. There is always someone on TBN with experience/knowledge that you can learn from.

I've been on here about 6 years and have learned a lot. In fact, I consider TBN one of the most valuable knowledge resources available for living the rural life. I realize Youtube is a different world, and so maybe we're seeing a clash of cultures here, I don't know. But there are a lot of experienced folks here on TBN who have been doing the rural tractor life for multiple decades, and I hope people can be respectful of that and are able to listen and learn.

Never mind that though, some of the smartest people I know are the humble farmers who live on my road and those guys have been living the rural tractor life long before the internet was even a thing, before TBN or Youtube. That sort of puts things into perspective for me.

Good comment and I agree with most of it, we are now having a real discussion like normal decent people. This confirms what I have said all along. The internet is a great resource but it brings out the worst in some people. Don't know why but it does, I guess because it takes the face to face out of the conversation. For example you said I was "not to bright", a "poor example" "clown show" plus several other things Then I find this thread and respond to the comments regarding my channel and when I talk about haters you say thats way out of place?

Bottom line is this, I have a small youtube channel showing what I do here on my property, nothing more, nothing less. Many people enjoy my channel and some don't. Who cares? There is way more important things in life. Take care

I for one am thrilled Mike has provided input concerning this thread. Since the entire focus is upon his U Tube channel, and the message he seeks to convey, his presence seems to have diluted some of the negativity. Personally, I admire Mike for calling out the haters and folks with simular negative intentions. Is a contray view a means to demonstrate how really smart we are, or how insignificant the post with which we disagree? Disagreement can lead to ad hominem attacks which certainly degrads the validity of the contrasting positions. I too am guilty of letting emotion, devoid of sound facts, drive a particular response. I further agree that the rural living concept SHOULD be the common thread that unites this group. The fact that we do not march in lock-step in our individual approach toward a common goal simply proves that the rural living concept is truly the last bastian of freedom in our country.

I don't know how many even knew you were part of this site I didn't; though I would have still written what I did. In s219's post he commented regarding the blending of cultures between TBN and Youtube!. This is a huge culture difference so don't expect that the guys on TBN will feel the same about you as they do youtubers they have no interaction with. This is an interactive site and once guys know you are a part of it they treat you differently. Youtube is full of very dispicable commentary! This site should not be.
