Before I built a tractorport for my then L3000, I kept one of those cheap, blue plastic tarps over the tractor. We get lots of wind here, and I had to tie the tarp off in a number of places to keep it from flapping around too much, wearing paint off part of the tractor. Ultimately, I took an old blanket and use that between the tarp and tractor. It was a pain to have to uncover it every time I needed to use it, but the tarping kept the paint and hoses and seat and etc. in good shape.
NH weather here... My Coverite hut works great overall, It has a rear wall and I never close the roll up door... Its sitting on 2" of 3/4 crushed stone...
But you would be amazed at how much moisture gets trapped in and under the tractor... it's not blown in but ground moisture... hydraulic fittings got looking a bit thin in the skin and I started replacing them a few years ago...
I am the original owner, and have had like this since 2007
I have a Kubota M7060. I bought a Shelter Logic Garage in a Box SUV/Truck at Northern Tool for $500. I am happy with it so far. I started with a tarp, but tarps are a huge pain.
I keep my L3301 and L3560 under one of those steel square tube, metal roof 18x24 carports. Spread 22 tons of crushed concrete for the floor. Has worked well, so far.
I paid around $2100 delivered and set up.
