Overloaded?

With a wagon toung weight is a non-issue. If on flat ground just going to the barn I see no issue. If the small SUV has traction enough to pull it it has equal traction to stop it. I wouldn't hit the highway or go over 5-10 mph... but on a farm you do what ya gotta do to get the hay in while the sun shines.

If he was going very far I would be amazed. If he was just going down the road to his barn, what is the difference between a 4000lb SUV pulling vs a 2wd tractor of similar weight pulling the same load????

Been there done that, hauling 2 wagons is nothing new, we haul 200 bale kicker wagons with 60 lb bales all the time. If he can pull it he can stop it and if he can't he'll be the first to know. I admit most of ours is off the road or very short distance on rural roads. You learn to work the contours of the land, no steep hills. I took a Yankee hay ride with 1 wagon behind a tractor once, definitely calls for a change in shorts.

My observations: Not hay bales, but wheat straw. Straw wouldn't weigh as much as hay. I'm impressed he didn't unload any when turning on to the road. I don't see any straps tying them down. I know what would happen if I tried that.

Isn't that why they put 4 lo in vehicles? TO pull more than what would stall the vehicle in 1st hi? lol I have to second the yankee hay ride. 884 IH and a wagon full of hay on a steep hill. Its very strange watching one tire roatating forward and one rotating backwards when your flying down a grassy hill. I ALWAYS took the long way after that one!

We have had a pretty good window weather wise in my neck of the woods for baling. Having spoken with several farmers, the crop has been really good making for alot of round bales. I understand the push to get the job done but at the same time, I won't deny it will be good to see the surge in bales being transported get back to only the occasional.

You bet that video was pretty extreme but that may not be all that unusual in that area.
