JD 4310
I have a JD 4310 and am looking for an overseeder that would be best for mixing AquaZorb www.absorbenttechnologies.com with grass seed for thatching and reseeding large residential lawns. I have seen the TIP, Inc. green spiker/seeder but that looks like it is mainly for greens and shorter cut golf courses.

Thanks <font color="black"> </font>

I have a land pride over seeder, 4' wide. I have used it for lawns over a few years. It will put the seed into the ground with a slit seeder attachment which I have. If this is some thing of interest shoot me a PM, I am wanting to sell all boths grass seeders and power rake. I have decided to get out of the buss, I do not have enough time any more.

Could you post some specifics about your overseeder? I have been using a grain drill around my pond and pasture to sew fescue. It works o.k., however, it is 13 feet wide and will not get into tight places, like the front yard, around trees, etc. I have been looking for a smaller grain drill or an overseeder but have not been able to find a small used one.

Thanks,
Bob

It is a LP 1548, 4' working width with front roller. This keeps the tines at a prefect depth in non flat ground. The slit seeder attachment gives you a choice to broad cast the seed or put the seed into the tines groves, which uses a 1/2 the seed. did this help any. OH it holds 100LBS of grass seed. weighs about 1600LBS.

there is a company that I bought a front snow plow from..... eg kascomfg.com ...... out of shelbyville Indiana. They have some interesting equipment along this line. I don't know if they are any good or not. Just thought I would pass that web site along to you.

Here is a site i deal with allot in my turf business and been very successful.
Earth and Turf

The futured University of Cornell text included on that site is environmental and financially very helpful in the overseeding process.

If you would like more info. please contact me via e-mail

Good Luck /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
