You are just wasting money on tires. I've made the same mistake you are making now with over-inflation. You absolutely will ruin the center of your tires like that. As we both know, load range E tires are not cheap!

I learnt from my experience. No more E rated tire on this tahoe. They gave them to me for them price as the c or d tires as they had none in stock at the time.
The duratracs are cool looking imo and quiet, awesome in snow and ice, perfect for rain. The biggest reason for getting the aggressive treads was for getting my old fordson super major unstuck (lot of low land). The are great in mud. Now that the fordson is gone I think I'll replace them with the silent armour with kevlar.

At first I raise the pressure to 80 psi all the time. I was told by a mechanic not to. He told me I was suppose to run the psi marked on the name plate. Its marked 35 psi but I still run 50-60psi. I don't have a pressure monitoring system. I think with the high pressure, you run the risk of crowning the tire and wearing out the center prematurely.

You have to adjust the pressure to fit the load on the truck. If you run empty most of the time, 35-40# is fine. I put 45# in the front and 50# in the rear when towing.
