Since moving to the PNW, from the east coast, some 40 years ago, I have to say, that I know longer understand the concept of four equally measured seasons. We have a Fall.... that lasts two weeks. We have a Spring,....which also lasts about two weeks. We really only have two seasons. :) Its like there is some huge switch out there that only has an on or off setting.

I'm getting about 0.20" per day here.

I don't think there has been a day without rain here for almost a month now.

I'm hoping for a steady rain, every day, for the next 6 months. Maybe a dry week to deal with leaves, then back to rain. The water table here needs it.
In the last few weeks a spring on our property started running again, I agree on the water table needing the rain.

Due for another around Monday...

The front lawn that had turned to dirt turned 100% emerald green within 72 hours of that first big storm...

Overall... the flora is thriving... the flora that survived that is...

Water bill with fees for 600 gallon pet day for 2 acres is $450 per month...

Sobering is the feeling... outside water had been off since the storm a few weeks back... it's like money in the bank.

Actual water can cost 1.5 cents per gallon so 600 gallons is $9 and then add meter and treatment fees...

Oh we need the rain, that is for sure. Just give me a day or two without it to get some things done I need dry weather for.
