I was wandering if anyone has had trouble with any of thier paint peeling off the plastic parts on thier 3020 series jd tractors? On my 2010 3320 that I have only had for a couple of months the paint on the right front edge of the fender is already starting to peel off. I just got it back from the dealer fri for a coolent leak and a rockshaft seal leak. I was looking things over yesterday and now I see the paint peeling. I kinda wander if they built it on monday..

No paint issues thus far on my 3720 cab tractor. Except for a cab/roof seal for A/C, the tractor has been problem free after almost 3 years and about 250 hrs on the meter. JD warranty will surely make it right for you.

Paint? My fenders look to be green plastic, at least the top layer appears to be green plastic, but I could be wrong. At any rate no peeling of any kind on my unit. 2006 3320 - 415 hrs.
Johndeere plastic parts are green plastic but they also paint them to get the gloss finish. I traded in a 2003 4110 with 450 hrs on it and the only problem I had with it was the computer went out on it just after the warrenty was up. I hope its just a few bugs that need to be worked out on my new 3320.

ive got a fairly new 3720 - 60hrs. paint was and has been in very good shape. i'm wondering if any chemicals got on the plastic while in the shop?

That paint peeling should be a warranty issue. I'd suggest getting it checked out pronto.
The paint line in a Deere plant is a very elaborate process of cleaning, dipping, spraying, drying. Not likely it was a "Monday" deal, and shouldn't have happened.
Unless, there is an environment where it is used around chemicals or something similar, as mentioned.

3320 with 560 hours. All of the problems with the surface were caused by operator error.

My 3520 plastic is perfect after 3 years but the paint is coming off the rear chunk around the dip stick where you check the hydro fluid. It looks really bad and the paint just bubbled up like it got to hot or something. I think something just got spilled on it and caused the paint to peel. I am going to touch it up before planting season starts.
