Pallet fork suggestions

I was given a choice of picked up @ Horn Lake,MS $425 or web buy w/5% off $479 delivered to KY. Titan gets freight discounts unavailable to me, no doubt but seems they are only knocking off ~ half the actual freight cost based on many other brands I priced.

For $30 the timelines and convienence, I'd have em delivered.

Dealing with an end user is somewhat of a pain for them. Perhaps they're adding on a "customer fee"? Hehehe.

I think you're doing as good as possible. Take it and run.

"Dealing with an end user" is what got Titan awards for being a webseller of distinction? Yer math on the price points is sucky.
$50 price diff is more than I make an hour on teacher retirement (and like said, I will be going thru there anyway)...

The reason i posted price details is based on having read about discounts ranging from 5% to 10% to 25%, then throw in sales events like holidays and seasons and First Customer and the general picture is one of timing matters to get the best price.

yevaton-the one you have is the Chinese version Titan sells while SKU# 139110 is the United Attachments USA version listed at $10 more?

Wanted 48" forks and the 2 inch receiver.... Got no need for a bale spear. free shipping on Amazon ordered thurs, arrived tues.

It seems more logical to me to put a ball on the drawbar and pull that way, than a receiver on a front backplate? I use tractor a few times a year to move our RV travel trailer after a trip and more often to move a utility trailer around. I would rather not do those things "backwards", as it seems to me. Titan lists ALL of their products on their own website-Amazon has only a few, plus, and it's a big plus! at that, we live in KY which is one of the many states where Amazon has a presence, thus sales tax is added to our amazon buys. I'd be @ a 6% disadvantage upfront to buy there.

Did your price include the 5% off? I took .95 of the price you gave, which was $30 difference.

For $50, yeah, I'd probably do the pita of picking them up.

My point is for titan, dealing with you in person is time consuming compared to shipping with all the rest of them. So maybe you *aren't* getting a full shipping reduction.

Main concerns are-
#1. will they attach tightly to my Kioti FEL SQQA set up? (or will I be welding on them to get a tight pin fit?)

I have a New Holland Workmaster 33 with SSQA and mine fit perfect. Took my son and I about 5 minutes to put them on and that included me slathering grease everywhere I thought it might need to go. This is my first and only tractor so far, so can't comment on whether it'd fit anything else. :)

#2-How will I get the best price point discount available?

I didn't pay any shipping to Alabama. They were $520 something I think and I had been mulling over the purchase, then I just happened to log on one day and they were $471.60 with no shipping, so I pulled the trigger. I forgot, my frame at the top was *slightly* bent, but wouldn't affect the operation or usage, so I didn't worry about it. I don't know if they got bent in the factory or in shipping, but it was no big deal. If I remember, next time I'm at the farm, I'll take a picture of it. I think Fallon is right, from the reviews I've seen, I think they may have had some quality control issues over the years, but from what I've seen, nothing you couldn't work with. Most of the *terrible* reviews or the "Titan's customer service sucks!" reviews I've seen seem to come from guys who are possibly just wearing their shorts too tight, if you know what I mean. I also have their 3PH trailer mover that I paid..... I think maybe $88 for? The welds on it are not pretty (and I'm no professional welder) but they seem solid, the unit seems solid overall, I've moved a fairly heavy trailer around with it a good bit and had no problems with it. I'll definitely buy from them again.

I might do 42" as a compromise for a future "estate sale"-ha!

That gave me a laugh. At 51 years old, owning my first tractor and just starting on building a farm out of nothing, I do consider this when I make purchases! LOL I doubt any of my 4 kids give one HANG about what I'm trying to build, so I think about resale value sometimes. :)

Once you get pallet forks, every heavy or bulky thing you own ends up on a pallet.

I agree with this too. I have a couple places I can get free pallets and NOTHING ends up on the ground any more. I put everything on a pallet, JUST IN CASE I have to move it somewhere. You know that old saying..... give a boy a hammer and everything he encounters becomes a nail. :)

it's 479 minus 425- the numbers I posted. Horn Lake,MS warehouse is 18 miles below I-40 where we will be anyway.
$505-5%= the $479. The pick up prices they don't give you the 5%, it's an inclusive price with hidden discounts.
FWIW, Tomahawk quoted me $177 freight plus $407 on their fork set. I priced many brands. Blue Diamond sells a USA product thats made in Knoxville,TN where we have 3 grandchildren but they sell through dealers only and in spite of me being near their facility all the time, I'm calling dealers here in KY that range from 1-2 hours from me and want full price for a set of forks. Throw in that like many products a mfg lists as a dealer, they may or may not have the item and have to order it in which raises their costs to sell to you.
The KY fabricator priced me $535 for a fork set like Titans-looks the same, etc.. They are a 4 hr RT from me plus sales tax too.
That guy said they have a high cost for the forks added into the set.
My issue with pallets as outside storage is they rot over time and end up getting thrown away with my mill slabs. I've used them for a plastic barrel with maple sap and a few other items but overall they are better off in a warehouse which I don't own.
Titan guy told me there are n o sales prices in the near future such as a holiday, etc..As for that top bar getting bent, I'll probably bend it in use anyway...
"free" pallets are easy to come by. Collecting , repairing and reselling them is a low on the food chain business model here in KY. Sames state that makes them new. I had a student years ago who worked in a pallet mill where he built them with a hammer, that guy could amaze you with driving a 16 penny nail one whack, BAM!

I quizzed him about the fitment issues mentioned by a few here and he provided me with the spacing measurements for the SQ hole and the rectangle hole in the SQQA lockup area of the back plate. These are industry standards that they are well aware of, so it seems. I'm going to measure my OEM Kioti bucket holes for comparison before I order. Spacing Titan gave me is SQ @ 20.5" and rectangle @ 37.5" to 28.5".
