While using my new 3-pt pallet forks, I experimented around with lifting capacity on my B7800. Factory specs were confusing because I seldom have a complete load right at the lifting point or 24 inches behind.
For the test, I used a standard softwood 40x48" pallet with the 50 lb bags evenly distributed on top. Using Pat's easy change which moves the load back about 3 inches, I discovered I lost about 200 lbs of lift capacity. I was surprised that those 3 inches made so much difference.
With Pat's easy change: 21 bags of fertlizer + pallet forks + pallet (1050+168+60) = 1278 lbs.
Without Pat's easy change: 25 bags of fertlizer + pallet forks + pallet (1250+168+60) = 1478 lbs.
Note: With either setup, I quickly discovered that I needed front ballast in my FEL to go up even mildly steep hills.
