Panera Bread

Panera bread is pretty good. Their shortbread cookies are really good, and probably have enough calories and cholesterol to immediately bring on a heart attack in many of us. Their coffee isn't as good as the place down the street. I don't own a laptop, and probably wouldn't drag it around with me to use where ever there was WiFi anyway. Nice thread if you like to read nasty comments about insignificant stuff, but my life is already about doing the insignificant for the ignorant.

Pogo was right.

When you're not the expert, or someone disagrees with you, you start tossing out personal attacks. Nice.

No big guy, I just am being sarcastic like I learned from you. ;)

As Mike said, you CAN select what you want filtered. So go out and buy the best software possible. Then do a google search for "gun". Here's what you get...

Um, hmm. Sure. And, with your little monologue about the NRA I'm supposed to believe that you don't see it as political either? I can see your stance on firearms as sure as I can see Clinton's. Righto mate.

Was it a personal attack or just a sarcastic retort offering a disagreement of opinion?

Looked to be very authentic anger to me.

Before Katrina, I had a small refrigeration business and a customer who was looking at a refrigerator I had for sale, asked for more info on it. I went to GE's web site on my computer and let him sit down at my computer and read all the details on this model. When I came back, he was looking at Home Depot's site on my computer and then left saying they could promise delivery sooner than the date I quoted. Of course, when I say he will get it on that date, he GETS it on that date. I wanted to get software to bar these sites on my computer but Katrina took care of that for me.....

I'm sure I would have had some customer say I was taking away his constitutional right to view my competitor's sites on my computer but I feel that I shouldn't have to pay for his constitutional rights. He can pay for his own internet connection. :D

When I think about it, it just makes no sense. The reason for blocking gun sites is - if I can quess whats going on in liberal mind - is because guns kill people. I know it is not true, but thats very popular opinion with liberals.

OK, I don't have statistics on hand, but I am positive, more people get killed in car accidents than by weapons of any kind in the USA. Still, nobody will block any car web page - or go balistic about buying a car.
Another huge cause of death is heart related - lack of excercise, wrong diet, smoking, drinking shortens your life, there is no question about it. Why am I not protected from that danger too?

Now where is the logic to the whole cause?

OK, I will shut up now. Since they told me to mind my own business I have a lot of free time :D

Guns don't kill people any more than cars kill people. It is guns in the hands of irresponsible people that are what kills..... same for cars. Even eating too much bread can kill you..... when you become obese.:D

Here's my stance on firearms... I think everyone should carry one unless they have been proven to be a menace to society or are mentally unfit.

Here's my stance on private businesses providing wireless internet access for free... they can provide access to whatever they want. It's their house.

Here's my stance on most folks in general and their understanding of anti-spam, anti-virus and anti-spyware situations for large corporations.... they don't grasp the scope of the problem or the imense cost to manage it. Once it is explained to them, they stop resenting the IT department for the couple, three spams they get each day when it could be hundreds or even thousands.

Here's my stance on the sarcasm defense when one is called on the carpet... it is weak, at best.:D (note smiley face: did he mean it or was he being sarcastic?).
