Parking with loader bucket raised?

Thank you all for the advice! I wasn't planning on going back to the woods for a few days, but I took the time and went this morning. The bucket HAD drained down, the 2x6 had slipped out, and my ATV was just beginning to get squashed. I'd have had a major mess if I'd waited until Friday.

I think I'm going to buy a 20' shipping container to store either the tractor or all the other toys in. $1,500 for a water/critter-tight box that I can move if necessary.

Thanks again!
Rick

I built a shelf to let it rest on.
Do you put the shelf under it and them move the control lever all the way to the down position? In this way, I would assume there is no pressure on the hydraulic system of the tractor. I want to leave the bucket a better position to throw manure into for its trip to the manure pile.
