( I don't agree about the space bar, that was bent within moments on mine, very flimsy.)

It shouldn't even be on the tractor that long John. It's one and only purpose is to hold the arms at a fixed distance when first mating PEC to the implement lift pins. After that, you take it off . I've got 30 acres of diagonal here, so the idle implements are never sitting on level ground. Without the spacer, somebody would have to hold the lift arms while I backed the tractor; a concept that sorta ruins the whole idea of an EASY change system.

That said, I suppose the clips that come with it might fool one into believing they're to hold the spacer bar in place permanently. In my mind, they're superfluous.

This is a most off-the-wall comment as I stated it happened within moments.

With the bar in place to hold the arms apart, I backed into the box blade and hit only one side as I went too far back, the bar bent. How is that on too long Greg? Isn't that what you just said is the reason for having it on?

Anyway, you're right, it's superfluous as my sway chains hold the arms apart just fine. I didn't pay for the bar, I never ordered it. It arrived at my home instead of the Pat's EZchange, and they just told me to keep it when the correct package finally arrived.

Re: Pat\'s quick change system

You may have to buy longer toplinks with Pat's system. I know I did to be able to adjust my implements without being on the last thread of the link...

Re: Pat\'s quick change system

I use a bungee cord to keep the sway arms together..(rather than a bar to keep them apart).. use the arm adjustment to set the width.... bungee cord stays in place... and flexes around equipment that comes between the arms after attachment.
