I purchased a new Kioti 2610SE. The performance is kind of lack luster. While finish mowing(60inch) and going up a slight incline(mid range) the engine dies. Can anyone recommend a remedy?

You are just running out of HP. The real remedy is a higher HP tractor.

The work around is low range for mowing up hill or not pushing the HST pedal down so far when climbing the hill. It takes time to learn the limitations of any machine but most will do what you need. Some will just do it faster. Good luck!

Hills/slope it wiser to use lower gear easier on tractor and safer on you.

Right here is your answer

I'm not sure what HP the SE / Cab / AC on-off etc., would take away from the 2610, I do know when I had use of a CK2610 for a few weeks waiting for my CK3510SE, it easily handled the finish mower - incline made no difference, couple of things in operation may effect it; I'm assuming you are not using the link pedal, and you are setting throttle at the 540 RPM mark not the 540E mark - I do not know how high the grass was, certainly do not know what the incline was, but the 2610 that I used had no issues with the mower at all, never even considered low range - mid was always more than enough...

Russ5160, I'm thinking your CK2610SE should handle the 60" cutter in mid-range on moderate grades without lugging down, except in very tall grass. As K5lwq suggests, try easing up on the HST pedal when you sense the rpms starting to drop. Let us know if that helps.

There is something wrong. I had my grandson out the other day and pulled him behind the tractor in a plastic toboggan full, RPMs and the engine stumbles. Even letting up on the HST pedal it takes a while to regain the RPMs. There must be something i can do. Any ideas?

Seems like there is definitely a problem with a brand new tractor; (which really should have been caught during 'make ready') why not take it back to the dealer and make a warranty claim? Are there any other 2610's on the dealer's lot? If there are, compare their performance to yours.

Was the tractor fully warmed up? My NX really stumbles when cold. Tractor runs lean. Goes away once at operating temps. This can take 15 minutes some days.

I think I might take it back under warranty issues. I’m not really impressed with their service department though.

Yes it was warmed up. I’ve had this issue for a while. I’m just getting a little annoyed with it. Hoping someone would already have hade the problem and would tell me the fix without having to take it back to the dealership.

I’d send a video for you to watch/listen to, so you see what I’m talking about.

Have you called the service department? What was their answer to this to this?

I had list of issues that I told the service department about. They came and picked it up and had it 3 days. They fixed 2 issues and that was a taillight filling up with water and a battery post clamp that got to close to the battery hold down and melted. 1 for my linked pedal was stuck on and 2 the performance issues wasn’t addressed.

26 hp for any hydro is bare minimum. Mine is gear and did the same thing with a 72 inch finish mower.

Something's off, and the dealer needs to correct it, the first job I did with the 2610 was 18yds of damp loom, heavy stuff, it drove into the pile, lifted full buckets with ease, and drove to where I wanted it, as fast as I wanted it to go. HST/Link On/Med Range - I was very impressed for 26HP - Tell the dealer to set it up right......

I will give the dealership another chance.
Last time they took it for 3 days and they only replaced a taillight and a battery post clamp and brought it back never fixing the 2 issues.

Be sure you don’t inadvertently have a remote in the ON position. That will rob tons of power

What's your experience level with tractors? Reason I ask is there's a learning curve associated with running anything, and sometimes it just takes a bit to get familiar with the performance characteristics of your machine. I had a JD2305 I ran a 5 foot finish mower on. It was 23 HP with a hydro and it ran the mower just fine. However, it only had two speeds----low and high. I cut grass in low all the time. The dealership may have tested out your machine and didn't find anything wrong with it performance wise. They should be able to put it on a dyno to test HP output, but their fancy testing software/computer probably already does that for them.

My NX4510 has just enough power to move the tractor in high gear. Forget about using any implements or pulling something.
