Have a 4 cyl Perkins on a chipper. Can't get it to run. Looks like a fuel problem.

To rule out some issues I'm running an electric fuel pump straight to the injector pump. I cracked all the lines at the injectors. With the electric pump running alone, I get alot of fuel out of one line but not much out of the others. If I crank the engine, I get some squirts out of all of them.

It will almost get going but if I let off the starter it will slow down and die. The only thing I can think of is the injection pump. Any advice? Thanks.

I had the same problem on mine, and if I remember right, you had to bleed the injection pump from two different places or it would not start. I would just Google, "bleeding a perkins diesel".
