I ordered one of those Peruzzo ditch bank fox 1600 mowers just recently.I have a mott also with the y blades which cuts pretty good .I was wondering how this would cut with the y blades on it?Guess I'll find out latter. My Mott is only 38 inches and bolts on to a walk behind Gravely. My tractor is a Kubota b2650 cab with the backhoe subframe under it.

Something is strange here with IFE. You can look up my old posts when I was searching for my unit and IFE even went to the trouble of hooking up a few models to a similar tractor so I could see the offset. no other vender of similar units would do this for me. I wanted to be absolutely sure the pivot point of the flail was outside my rear tires and Andrew understood that. I was working with Andrew and he was excellent to work with. He was also quick to respond to assembly questions I had. I recently ordered a couple of replacement hammers too. I agree they are soft and chip easily. IFE (Steve) got them out right away.

Hope this helps
Keith

Andrew and Steve are brothers or father and son - don't know which. Here is Andrew's email Andrew Stepanian <as@ife1.com> if it helps

Hi

I purchased the Peruzzo Fox Cross 1600 and received it this past January (9 month wait, worth the wait). It was ready to go right out of the shipping crate. Only adjust I made was lowering the roller to increase cutting height. Love the machine. It does such a good job I am selling my Land Pride Rear Discharge 3 point mower deck.

Ken,

I suggest you check the belt tension after a bit. Mine is now five years old and the bearings on the belt shaft on the gearbox gave up, making lots of noise and an oily mess. It is used 10 or 12 hours twice a year, so not that many hours on it.

I don't know whether this was because of an issue with the bearings, or if over-tight belts were a contributing factor. I'd never adjusted them, but I found than when I tried to re-install the old ones with a new gearbox they were so tight, even with the idler all backed off, that one of them broke trying to get them back on.
