I haven’t found 1 of my corners on the picture I posted above. Near or in the road. I did get an indication with metal detector near the area.

I encourage all my customers to let me drive a steel t-post at their corners since many of them have just bought said property and already have a very recent survey that enables me to find the corner markers or capped rebar.

Just got my survey in today; and 2 eastern corners are easy to find. The western ones fall in the shared roadway-easement, and there are no surviving monuments in the dirt road. Luckily they did find 5/8 rods at the property side of the 33 ft easement.
I assume that you purchased a new piece of property, I knew that you had been looking because I saw it in another thread. Which county did you wind up in? Putnam?

Putnam, yes. I know many people look down on Putnam county, but I like it. Lower taxes, lower services, and all that, but they don't harrase you about building a porch, or trimming a tree on your own property. The northern property line is actually the Putnam-Clay county line.

Think inside City of Gainesville, you still need an arborist and a permit to trim limbs greater than 8", on a tree on your own property. That sounds like a big limb, but it's really not.

It's zone A-2, with a future land use of Rural Residential, but former owners had it as a Bona Fide ag property. We will likely, once I fix pasture, and expand it, add a few steers, and tey to keep Bona Fide for tax and building purposes, as well as I like beef :)

I went by to help my customer today who I demoed the shed for yesterday and this morning I got about 500' of 4 strand barb wire fence removed and rolled up and I cut down some old wild cherry trees and some other trash species of trees and got them cut up and piled on top of the demoed shed in the burn pile, the heat index was 105 today so I called it quits at lunchtime, I have fertilizer coming in the morning so it will be back to hay field fertilizing, hope everyone has a good week. Charlie.

I'm glad you found a piece of property and totally understand wanting to live in a less restrictive County, sounds like you did good.

I put in t post or piece of rebar, and slip pvc pipe over it. Makes it very visible. I always put it just on my side of the ground marker.

I really like the PVC over the T Post idea!!!! I have a corner and a property line marker that I can find when I look for them, but they get over grown every year, and it would be nice if I could see them more easily. I'm going to do this for them this weekend if it's not raining. Thanks!!!
