Nice pics.
When I lived in Trenton, I once looked up from my grass cutting and saw a sight that made me shiver. It was a B52 touching down. I lived about 500 yds from the runway and it was airshow weekend coming up.
Once I was riding my mountain bike on a trail on top of Blue Mountain just east of Harrisburg, PA, when an A-10, doing ground-following training roared up and over the ridge knife-edged (one wing pointed at the ground), at what sounded and felt like full-throttle. Now A-10's are not exactly quite to begin with, but this one was no more than 100-200 ft. above the tree-tops. That sure got my attention.
BTW, this location is close to Fort Indiantown Gap.
Another really impressive thing to see is when the C-5's come up from Dover AFB to do touch-n-go practice at Harrisburg International Airport ( yeh, I laugh too at the "international" part, but they have a 2 mile long runway, and a relatively light amount of traffic, and thus have time available for such activity).
Wow, unimaginable. Almost "sloth" really. Certainly another world than the one I live in!
Oh yeah Moss,
This past weekend we put in the base for yet another flagpole. Got a chance to get the rust off of the post hole auger, and gave the old cement mixer a work out also !![]()
